Location, Look & Feel
Baan Kanitta 2 is an old office of the Kuwait Embassy situated near Conrad hotel. Targeting the upper market segment, it has been beautifully renovated and is now a delicious Thai restaurant. Baan Kanitta 2's quaint garden creates a relaxing atmosphere in Bangkok's breezy cool season. This place also offers a very good set menu.
Recommended dishes
We recommend you try the special rice (rice that is cooked with beans and sesame). The most distinct item on the menu at Baan Kanitta 2 is a light snack called Miang Kum. Thais eat this by folding the green leaves, or “Miang”, mixing it with dried shrimp, peanuts, ginger, lime, dried coconut meat, chili, and sweet sauce. This is one of my favorite snacks.
Caution
This restaurant is often full with foreign and Thai customers, be sure to make reservations.
