Do
• You should take off your shoes when invited into a Thai home or in the temple hall.
• Cover up and dress is appropriate when going into the temples or the palaces, you should not wear shorts or sleeveless shirts or short skirts.
• Since Thai tends to wear a smile on their face permanently smileing in an awkward circumstance does not mean that Thais don't understand the situation and difficulty at hand. Therefore, do smile whatever circumstance you meet, everything will getting better.
Do not
• The Head is regarded as the highest part of the body; therefore, you should not intentionally touch or hold the head of a Thai person.
• The Feet are regarded as the lowest part of the body. To put your feet on the table or to point at anything with your feet or, when in the temple, to point your feet towards the Lord Buddha's statue is regarded as an inappropriate manner and offensive to any Buddhists.
• To over react in a social surrounding is considered an inappropriate manner, and you may make the opposite party feel like they have lost face.
