The Oriental Hotel, Bangkok's luxury hotel

The Oriental hotel is the most renowned and famous luxurious hotel in Bangkok based on its tradition, long history and high quality of services. This hotel operates with a long list of reservations all year round. The rooms were designed by a Western interior decorator with excellent upkeep and renovation to maintain its authentic shape.

Location wise, the hotel is on the East bank of the Chao Praya River. It has a shuttle boat running from Taksin BTS Station to the hotel pier. It is very convenient for its guests to travel around Bangkok from this location. Close to The Oriental hotel is the shopping arcade called OP Place full of antique furniture, paintings, tailor shops, and souvenirs from Thailand.

The downside (or the upside depending on how you look at it) of the hotel is because of its well known name and its popularity, its guests tend to be celebrities and stars. Subsequently, some sections of the hotel are not subject to other guests. Sometimes, some areas are reserved for functions. Most importantly, when high profiles individuals arriving with trails of security personals, could annoy other guests who seek a quiet holiday.

There are other regulations of this hotel - dress code is strict and expected to be informal casual wear. Backpacks, sandals, vests, short skirts or shorts are prohibited. Do not feel disheartened, have a look at the hotel photo before you make a decision.
