Where is the trip take place?
The trip is take place in Koh Kret. In Thai Koh means island. Some people spell ko, koa or kho. Kret is abbreviation form of latkret which means short cut. 500 years ago when capital city of Thailand is called Ayutthaya , the King dug the canal to create short cut. Then, the other side of the canal become river island well known as Koh Kret. After all, it has been more convenient for travelers. Later, this place become more famous and more people live here. The dominant group is MON who expert in pottery craftsmanship. |

What to see and expect?
Beside beautiful view of Choapraya river, you will have a chance to visit and passing numerous small villages, see temples, fruit and flower plantations, local villages and very friendly Thai people. We then head away from river life and pass into the rural surroundings where we ride among rice paddies and fruit plantations before finishing the first part of our journey back on the banks of the river at Ban Bua Thong. On Ko Kret, we see the pottery village and visit the island's Ancient Mon Pottery Centre, Wat Paramai Yikawat or Wat Mon, which contains a Mon styled marble Buddha. |

This easy tour heads north to the ancient province of Nonthaburi and discovers the beauty of Bangkok 's hidden gems, Nonthaburi and Ko Kret. The ride starts at Wat Ko Kriang, near the banks of the Chao Phraya River . Following a canal path, you will cruise through local villages, past rice paddies, fruit plantations and the local riverside communities. We cross the Chao Phraya River to Ko Kret where we cycle around the island enjoying its peaceful scenery and car free roads. We finish the cycling by having a great Thai lunch overlooking the river.
What is the riding like? This is a very easy 25 kilometre ride along nice flat roads and paths. The beautiful thing about riding on Koh Kret is that there are no cars allowed on the island so you have the road to yourselves
