This island is located near Pattaya but it‘s surprising how the beach is much more beautiful and crystal clear. You can take the boat from Laem Bali Hai Pier, and it only takes 45 minutes till you arrive at Koh Larn.
Here you can find a lot of fun activities to do such as viewing coral and fishes through the glass-bottom boats, snorkeling, take the boat to the near islands and etc.
3. Koh Samet
Koh Samet is one of the most popular islands in Thailand. To get there you need to go to Ta Pae pier ( Rayong ) then take the boat to the island, this will only take 40-50 minutes. So if you need something more private and relax we would suggest “Ao Prakarang “ for some reason not many people come here, maybe because it has coral everywhere, but if you don’t want to swim but just looking for a place to lay down and listen to the wave of the ocean this is the best place for you.
Hua-Hin is popular for weekend getaway because it’s only 3 hours from Bangkok. The beach here is the same as Pattaya beach, but not as busy. Most people come here just to get away from busy Bangkok life and to relax. Activities that you can do here are horse riding on the beach, walking street full of tasty food, night clubs and night market.
To go to Hua-Hin you need to pass Cha-am first, although the beach here is not much different from Hua-Hin, It may look a little bit nicer ,but Cha-am is more famous for someone who loves something that’s vintage and classic. It has a place that can fulfill your desire such as Plearn wan market, Floating market and Maruekhathaiyawan Palace.

Koh Samui is a Thailand third largest island after Phuket and Koh Chang and the number of visitors increases every year. 10. Koh Phangan
This island is a Thailand’s fifth biggest island and is not far from Koh Samui at all, since Koh Phangan doesn’t have an airport so you need to travel by ferries. The main attraction here cannot be anything else but wild and crazy “Full Moon Party” which takes place every month and it’s located on Haad Rin beach. Other than that Koh Phangan has plenty of stuff for you to do like exploring the beauty of the island, adventure tours, water sports and lively night market.
These are only the main destination but there’s a lot more for you to explore. It’s possible for you to find quieter and non-tourist beach because the country’s geology provides various choices of beaches depending on its location. Though the locals there might not speak English very well or can’t speak English at all but that’s not the problem at all. 🙂
