Cheap Bangkok hotels

There are many cheap Bangkok hotels around the city. The best known tourist places are the Pratunam Market, Sukhumvit road, Sapankwai, Ratchada Pisek, and Koasan Road.

The economy hotels will offer a good room to sleep and shower in but that is about all, there prices are relative to there services and facilities. The prices can be offset by and discounts and promotions they may be offering for that particular season. You will be able to find an affordable Bangkok hotel for any price range, many Bangkok economy hotels star at $10 per night with the more luxurious Bangkok hotels at $300 per night. The VIP sweets and hotels that offer whole floor renting, there price range will be much higher.

Cheap Bangkok Hotels in Pratunam Market Area

The Pratunam Market area is famous for cloths; this is the shopping Mecca of Bangkok. It is the biggest wholesale and retail apparel market. There are many interesting shopping malls in Pratunam Market area, that consists of Pantip plaza (IT mall), Central world shopping center; Big C supper center (is similar to a super Wall Mart, K-Mart or Pathmark) but with movie theaters and Kesorn Plaza which is a center for luxury and brand name products.

These Bangkok hotels are right in the middle of the Market:

Biyoke Suites hotel $$$$: they are located right in the middle of the market in the Biyoke building which is the low level of the building, this is where you will find the wholesale market.

Best Bangkok house $$: this is a small hotel with 42 rooms; it is locate in the middle of the market on of Petchburi Rd. Soi 15, close to Biyoke building.

First hotel $$$$: locate on Petchburi road they provide 350 rooms of comfort and convenience. From here it is very easy to access all of the shopping malls above.

100 – 300 meters away from the market center

Ibis Siam Bangkok $$$: there are 180 rooms and the newly renovate hotel under Accor hotel group. The rooms are clean, comfortable and it is a great place to stay. It is one bus stop away from the market which is about 250 meter long. Along the way to the market there are smaller shops and restaurants around where you can stop off to have a bite to eat and maybe do some bargaining at the smaller shops.

PJ Watergate $$$: PJ holds 74 rooms and was renovated 3 years ago it is maintained well with nice and clean rooms. It only takes about 5 minute to the market, in which is approximately a 150 meters.

Cheap Bangkok Hotels : Sukhumvit road

Sukhumvit road is the business and luxury residential district. To find affordable hotels in the economy or moderate level in this district is not easy. Instead you will be able to stay at very clean and affordable guess houses.

There are advantages to being in this area first it is close to the BTS sky train, it is easy to get around Bangkok, there are any many small shops and street vendors where you will be able to find very nice gifts at very reasonable prices, and for the shopaholic there are trendy shopping malls such as The Emporium and Sogo.

Less than 50 meter from the Sukhumvit Street and sky train

Sukhumvit 11 $$: You will find a small cozy guess house that is nice and clean. The interior is decorated with a lot of wood to give it a friendly style.

The Ambassador hotel $$$$: This is a big hotel with affordable prices and very easy to access the sky train. Many visitors from the Middle East and Africa like to stay at this hotel.

Cheap Bangkok Hotels : Sapankwai area

This area is an interesting area to stay in because it is not a touristy area. There are a lot of luxury hotels with very affordable prices, they have exceptional facilities, it is convenient to access the sky train, easy to get a cab, the neighborhood is safe to go on a nightly walk and it is close to Big C shopping mall.

Grand tower inn $$$: a big hotel with over 200 rooms. It is about a 200 meter walk to the BTS sky train station.

Sena Place hotel $$$: another big hotel with 190 rooms, it is located on Prahonyonthin road Soi 11. This hotel is not in a touristy are so you won't find the normal hustle and bustle with street vendors, it is a nice relaxing area with full equipped facilities.

Cheap Bangkok Hotels : Koasan Road

Koasan road is considered the backpacker street. As there are many short stay cheaper guess houses, cheap Bangkok hotels, restaurants and street venders. Koasan Rd was made for tourists who are traveling around Thailand and need to find decent accommodations without reservations it is a usy area as there are many street vendors. It is easy to access the historical “old city” and temple areas.

If you are going to be touring around Thailand this is a great place for you to stay. Here is our recommendation when you are going to stay on Koasan road.

Viengtai Hotel $$$$: Walking from the hotel to Koasan road take less than 5 minutes. There are a lot of restaurants and small shops along the way. The hotel is newly renovated friendly, clean and has good food.
