Tour highlight: Leave for Mae Kampong village , Mae On sub district, by 4WD through Chiang Mai picturesque countryside, stop will be made at a local market. You will have a chance to buy ingredients for self-cooking dinner at the village in the afternoon. Then proceed to Mae Kampong village(50Kms. away), approximately 1 hour drive. Mae Kampong village is the perfect destination to experience the unspoiled beauty of nature. You will be welcomed by local villagers and can take a glimpse at their unique while taking in beautiful scenery. The village is 1,300 meters above sea level with an average temperature of 10-18C throughout the year.
Upon arrival you will walk through the community forest, where the villagers grow tea and coffee, to see how they preserve their forest and how they live in harmony with nature. It is a good example for self sufficient economy. Picnic lunch will be provided at a waterfall.
After lunch you will return to the village to relax with Thai traditional massage. Then walk around the village to witness fermented tea leaves process, hand made products. Then it is time to enjoy preparing and cooking your dinner with local people in their house. In the evening, you will drive across mountainous road to the top of the mountain for sun set. From here you will see beautiful mountainous scenery of 4 provinces: Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lamphun and Lampang. Tea and coffee will be served. Return to Chiangmai, arriving back at your hotel at about 7.30 P.M.
