Elephant round up in the Northeast of Thailand

Elephant round up is Elephant festival one year. It is took place in Surin province. Surin is a home town of elephant trainer expert which is one a year they gathering the elephant around the North and Northeast of Thailand to return home and have a big celebration. It is sound like re-union, thank giving or perhaps elephant Songklan day, Thai family day. There are around 300 elephant in the city. There was a prove for that since elephant dunk is all around.


The festival is around the third week of November. I impressed with many thing during the trip. On the way from Bangkok to Surin, I saw the people work on the rice field and the rice turn to golden color since it is close to harvesting time. It was a serene moment and happy time when I re think about it.

The elephant round up show was so fun. There was the competition between human and elephant which make every one has a big laugh and get great photo from it.

There was many thousands of Thai and some foreigner visited this festival last year. Everyone was so happy which we can see from their eye and happy on their face.

This trip , I went there with Kevin , my value customer. He was so happy that I convinced him to come and next year , he would like to go there again.
