I have designed this trip in order to promote my hometown. Especially after Cambodia opened, this area has had less tourists visiting, which is probably good for those who do not like touristy areas . This trip is three days long , and starts and finishes in Bangkok .

Phanomrung , Phimai & Ayutthaya : Activities : jungle trekking and walk through historical sites

Have you ever trek ked in a dense tropical forest? A trekking trip like this takes about 3-6 hours . It is real fun and eye opening to forest life. Khao Yai National Park is home to wild animals of over 1,000 species. There are wild elephants, tigers , deers, barking deer, gibbons, horn bills and many more. Please do not expect to see all those animals at once, since it is not a zoo. However, if you go trekking early morning or late evening, your chancess of see ing them are more.

Also, this trip will allow you to travel to Ayutthya and two Cambodian sanctuaries. It will be your perfect chance to see the close relation ship between ancient Khmer and ancient Siam . We will visit three historical sites in the first two days. Our guide will explain the history, while also refer ring to the evidence of ruins.

Many yummy dishes are waiting for you. You will have a chance to try local stay and Thai noodle, cakipork at Nagrong district and yum prakrop (dry fish salad). Yes, all th at stuff you may (not?) be able to have in other places of Thailand . As a local, I have tasted the food before, and no mater how many years have passed by, the taste of the yummy food cannot go wrong and is still very delicious – in Thai we say aroimakmak.

Day 1

City –City : Bangkok – Ayutthaya - Nakhonratchasima

Attraction list :Bangpa in Summer Palace , Wat Prasrisanphet, Wat Mahathat, Wat Chaiwatthanaram, Wat Lokayasupha

Meal : L

Tour Details : Pick up from your Bangkok hotel at 8.30 am . Then, drive to Ayutthaya province. Stop at Bang pa in Summer Palace to see the summer palace and beautiful garden, which used to be leisure palace for the king of Ayutthaya. Continue on to Ayutthaya - the ancient city. Visit Wat Prasrisanphet, Wat Mahathat, Wat Chaiwatthanaram , Wat Lokayasupha. Those ruins used to be p alace and royal temples when Ayutthaya was prosperous.
Drive further to Nakhonratchasima (Korat) , the biggest city in the Isan region. Check in at the hotel. In the e vening , observe Korat night market , see night life and enjoy shopping before returning to the hotel. Overnight at Korat Over night : Simathani hotel book by LJ Biz
Day 2 City –City : Nakhonratchasima – Burirum – Khoa Yai Attraction list : Prasart Hin pranomrung, Prasart Hin Pimai, Meal : B,L,D Tour Detail : Drive to Phimai city . Visit Phimai museum and learn about the Khmer history . Then continue on to Prasart Hin Pimai , the biggest Khmer sanctuary in Thailand . It takes about two hours to get to Burirum province , where you must visit Prasart hin Pranomrung, the most beautiful sanctuary located on the volcano top. After this, travel back to Khao Yai and spend the night there . If you reach Khao Yai before 6 pm , observe millions thousands of bats travel ing back to their cave. Overnight at Khao Yai . Day 3 City –City : Nakhonratchasima – Khao Yai Attraction list : jungle trek at Khoa Yai Meal : B,L Tour Details : Leave hotel at 6:00 am, ranger and tour guide will take you to the jungle for a trek to see wild life of tropical forest. After that, take a break for breakfast. Then, explore Khao Y ai , enjoy the scen ery and visit the fantastic waterfalls in the Khao Y ai area. After enjoy ing K h ao Yai , drive back to Bangkok .
