Samui Island

Samui island , which is one of the districts in Surat Thani, is Thailand’s third largest island.

It is located The best travelling time is from June – July as well. in the Gulf of Thailand and is surrounded by sixty islands. The island is a place that uplifts Thai tourism industry. It has its own airport and an airline called Bangkok Airways flies to Samui island every day. It is well known to the Thais and international tourists. The most convenient to way to go to Samui from Bangkok is by flight just for 1 hour. Bangkok airway has flight departure from Bangkok around 10 flights daily. Meanwhile, Thai airway has one flight a day. There is one flight a day fly from Chiang mai or Phuket by Bangkok airway flight as well. Low cost airline by Nok air fly to Suratthani province. Visitor can buy flight+car+boat direct from airline which can drop you off at the Samui pier. Bus + Boat is operate by local operator such as 999 bus (government cooperate), Lampraya and seatran . Introduction to Koh Samui Beach

There are white beaches and warm sea at Koh Samui, such as Chaweng, Lamai, Maenam, Bophut, Bangrak, Choeng MoN, Ao Tong Takian, Nathon, etc. The two most famous islands are Chaweng and Lamai beaches. So if you want some night life or go to a night club, you should go there. Besides, there are also a lot of souvenir shops and markets that open at night.

Maenam beach is much less crowded than Chaweng and Lamai beach. It’s quieter with more Thai culture and is more relaxed. The local Thai food found here is not very expensive. Moreover, Samui island is also the gateway to Koh Pha Ngan and Koh Tao. It is very convenient because there are many piers and boats to choose. Boats leave several times a day, and tourists from Samui often go to Pha Ngan in order to join the full moon party.
