Founder of Muang Boran or Bangkok Ancient city
The Bangkok Ancient City was founded by Khun Lex Wirichapan, a successful Thai businessman who loved art, history, architecture and religion & believe. He graduated in China and a chance to travel around extensively and got the idea to create Muang Boran to preserve Thai culture.In 1963, Khun Lex started to built Muang Boran or Bangkok Ancient city at present location. The replicas of Thai architecture from the Northern, Central, Southern and Northeastern of Thailand were starting to build in the area of 316 acres with ax shape as Thailand. There are temple, ancient palace , sanctuary and archaeological site of Thailand, Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia.
In 2006, Sala Pra-orachan (pavilion inside a big pond) in the Bangkok Ancient City has been chosen as a major location to film of American reality show of – American Next Top Model Season 6. And Prasrianphet prasart has been used as stage for final round.There are a lot more sites in Muang boran that one could enjoy.

09:00 -16:00 and 16:00-19:00 . For those who love taking photos, we highly recommend to take an evening tour (Tour starts 15:00) to get the best sunset view. Later, you can continue to Bangpoo a place that you could enjoy dinner and ballroom dance in the evening.
