1. Pattaya Beach

If you don’t have much time and don’t really want to go far from Bangkok, Pattaya is the place for you. It’s a sleepless city and there’s always an activity for you to do such as cabaret show, walking street and night clubs, but during the day time you can just chill at the beach, thoughPattaya beach might not be as nice as the others but it’s good enough when is only 2 hours away from Bangkok.
2.Koh Larn
This island is located near Pattaya but it‘s surprising how the beach is much more beautiful and crystal clear. You can take the boat from Laem Bali Hai Pier, and it only takes 45 minutes till you arrive at Koh Larn.
Here you can find a lot of fun activities to do such as viewing coral and fishes through the glass-bottom boats, snorkeling, take the boat to the near islands and etc.
3. Koh Samet
Koh Samet is one of the most popular islands in Thailand. To get there you need to go to Ta Pae pier ( Rayong ) then take the boat to the island, this will only take 40-50 minutes. The islands have many beaches and each of them is unique. The most visiting must be a Haad Sai Kaew beach, it has a lot of activities for you to do but of course it will always be busy.
So if you need something more private and relax we would suggest “Ao Prakarang “ for some reason not many people come here, maybe because it has coral everywhere, but if you don’t want to swim but just looking for a place to lay down and listen to the wave of the ocean this is the best place for you.
4. Hua-Hin
Hua-Hin is popular for weekend getaway because it’s only 3 hours from Bangkok. The beach here is the same as Pattaya beach, but not as busy. Most people come here just to get away from busy Bangkok life and to relax. Activities that you can do here are horse riding on the beach, walking street full of tasty food, night clubs and night market.
5. Cha-am
To go to Hua-Hin you need to pass Cha-am first, although the beach here is not much different from Hua-Hin, It may look a little bit nicer ,but Cha-am is more famous for someone who loves something that’s vintage and classic. It has a place that can fulfill your desire such as Plearn wan market, Floating market and Maruekhathaiyawan Palace.
6. Phuket
Phuket is the real paradise on earth for someone who’s obsessed with the beach. It is located in the south of Thailand and you can get here from the bus or airplane. It’s full of awesome places and activities, whatever you have in your vacation list we have it here ;). Starting from the dazzling beach with smooth white sand to the extremely entertaining night life, like come on! you cannot miss this right ?
7.Krabi
Krabi is well-known for its breathtaking scenic view and wonderful beaches near the Andaman coastline. There’s a ton of activities for you to complete like, take a boat tour to the other islands such as Phi-Phi where they filmed the movie called “The Beach”, national park, elephant ride and more.
8. Phang nga
The beach here is also amazing just like the others, but the must visit destination here is “Koh Tapu” also known as James Bond island because it was chosen as one of the locations for the 1947 James Bond film. Others are multiple national park, stunning Samet Nangshe viewpoint and etc.
9. Koh Samui
Koh Samui is a Thailand third largest island after Phuket and Koh Chang and the number of visitors increases every year. It has many tourist spots that you must visit such as Ang Thong National Marine Park , Big Buddha Temple, Fisherman’s Village, Hin ta-Hin Yai and much more. The beach here is surprisingly impressive, blue ocean with soft white sand, breezy and calm isn’t it amazing?
10. Koh Phangan
This island is a Thailand’s fifth biggest island and is not far from Koh Samui at all, since Koh Phangan doesn’t have an airport so you need to travel by ferries. The main attraction here cannot be anything else but wild and crazy “Full Moon Party” which takes place every month and it’s located on Haad Rin beach. Other than that Koh Phangan has plenty of stuff for you to do like exploring the beauty of the island, adventure tours, water sports and lively night market.
These are only the main destination but there’s a lot more for you to explore. It’s possible for you to find quieter and non-tourist beach because the country’s geology provides various choices of beaches depending on its location. Though the locals there might not speak English very well or can’t speak English at all but that’s not the problem at all. 🙂
